Welcome to the English Hub

I’m Zaria Qadafi and I created the English Hub. When I first started teaching English as a Second Language in South America seven years ago, I found that the inspiration to teach English could not be limited to textbooks.

Language is all around us – in movies, in books, in the news, in the streets. Why should learning be limited to classrooms and textbooks? I was living and learning Spanish and Portuguese everyday by watching movies, listening to music, reading magazines and forming friendships with native speakers. I realized that it would be more meaningful to my students to teach them in the same way that I was learning. So, that’s exactly what I did. I’ve developed materials that teach everything from basic to advanced English in exciting and memorable ways, allowing my students to enjoy what they love – whether that be reading about scientific innovations, listening to NPR radio, watching “How I Met Your Mother”, or even taking excursions to local supermarkets and businesses.

When you learn English my way, you learn with all of the educational materials available to you in real life, not just textbooks.
